BobbaJay’s
Big Cox cider continues to improve with each batch

 

The Evenlode Cider Co-operative (ECC) first brewed the legendary Big Cox cider back in 2020 and that first batch was absolutely bloody disgusting! Not only did it taste awful, but it also had a tendency to explode and there are many tales of near misses as corks, and the glass bottles themselves, could no longer contain the raw power of Big Cox!
Over the years our “artisan” cider making skills have vastly improved and our latest offerings are surprisingly good. The ECC get together in September/October each year and bring their apples to the annual pressing day where we open a bottle or two of last years cider and chop and crush the apples. Only apple juice, champagne yeast and sugar go into Big Cox, so as it’s as natural and as pure as it possibly can be. Cheers!
